Welcome to the Clemson Aquatic Team electronic registration platform for the 2010-2011 swim season!   CAT is a year round swim team that was founded in 1978.  The team is the only USA-Swimming affiliated swim club in Pickens and Oconee county.  There are training groups for novice competitive swimmers, groups for swimmers with varying degrees of competitive swimming experience, and a US Master's Swimming training group for adults (fitness, triathletes, or competitive adult swimmers).  The team practices from September - July at Fike Recreation Center on the Clemson Universtiy campus and at the Clemson-Central Recreation Center (Master's only). 

Both returning swimmers and new swimmers must register through the online registration portal.   Please follow the instructions to register for the 2010-2011 swim season. 

Minimum Swimming Requirements:  Your athlete must be able to swim at least 25 yards and be comfortable in the water.  Evaluations will take place at the first scheduled practices or after contacting Head Coach Jon Mengering at coachjon@clemsonaquaticteam.org.

Two Week Trial:  If you or your child are wondering if swimming is for you and your family, we offer a 2-week trial with registration.  After 2 weeks your account will be changed registration + first months tuition.  You will not be charged if you decide not to swim with CAT at any point during the first 2 weeks following registration.

Costs:  CAT offers both annual and monthly tuition plans with significant discounts for multiple swimmers per family.  Scholarships are also available for those who qualify for either free or reduced lunch.  In addition to the annual or monthly tuition, a membership fee is required to be paid at registration.  The membership fee is not prorated except for those swimmers who register after March 31, 2011 as it covers fixed costs associated with USA-S registration and other club administration costs.  There is also a member family volunteer requirement to help run the 6 CAT hosted swim meets currently scheduled for this season which are the team's major source of fundraising.  Alternatively, you can "buy out" of this obligation, but we prefer your family's involvement with swim meets.  Finally, competition suits, practice equipment, and swim meet entry fees are the responsibility of each swimmer.
